This month we're featuring Mona Sullivan, owner of Jack N' Elle Playhouse in Decatur, GA. Twinnks co-founder, Rebecca, & Mona know each other from their corporate jobs, both of which are working hard to bust out of.
A good, clean, fun indoor play area is hard to come by, especially one that offers so much more: kids camps, memberships, birthday parties, kids yoga, drop-in play, and more—it's a parent's dream! So if you're in the Atlanta area and need to get the kids out of the house, tire them out at Jack N' Elle Playhouse!
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I'm fun! I'm from NJ and mother of 3 girls!

What is your startup story?
I am trying my darndest to leave corporate America (given that I am still in the consulting world). I got the idea because I have small children of my own and there was no clean/cute places for my kids to play. The more popular indoor play spaces were large towers or the jumpy houses. It took forever for me to start the business. But once it was done it was very rewarding.
What has been the most challenging part? Most rewarding part?
All of it! Business school does not prepare you for any of this shit! Rewards - I am still figuring that out.
What is something you know now that you wish you knew in the beginning?
Save. Save. Save - Any way you can.. it will always cost more.
How do you relax & decompress after a long day or week?
I put down my phone and no electronics. I truly enjoy the time with my kids.
What advice would you give to other people wanting to start a company?
Please speak to others who have started a business. Talk to a lot of people of various businesses not just ones like your own.
